Our lake fishing tour is 2 days of fly fishing in a pristine mountain lake. We camp overnight near the lakeside in a tranquil forest setting.
Once at the lake you gear up into neoprene waders, fins and your float tube. The days are spent fishing for Rainbow and Cutthroat trout while enjoying the mountain scenery and fresh air. An angling guide is there to help you with preparing your gear and assist with your catch. He will also instruct fly fishing techniques and describe the ecology of the lake.
During the evening we relax in a comfortable camp. We relive the days events around a crackling campfire while listening to the haunting songs of the loon. Delicious meals, lodging and other amenities are prepared for you.
There is plenty of time during this trip for exploration. The surrounding area has many unique features such as old growth forests, historical trails and sites, vantage points with spectacular views and mountain wildlife.

Day 1:
-Pick up at 8:00am

-Instruction on water safety and bear avoidance 9:30am
-Fly fishing 10:00am
-Lunch at 12:00pm
-Fly fish/Explore
-Dinner at 6:00pm
-Evening fishing
-Campfire at 8:00pm
Day 2:
-Breakfast at 7:00am
-Fly fishing 8:00am
-Lunch at 12:00pm
-Fly fish/Explore 1:00pm
-Depart by vehicle 4:00pm
-Arrive at accommodations 5:00pm
This scheduling is a guide to give you an idea of the days itinerary. We would be happy to extend or customize the tour to suit your preference. We offer excellent 2 day hikes; to reach those secluded alpine jewels.
We supply you with all the fishing gear as well as a day pack, water container, first aid kit and bear spray. We prepare the meals and the campsites and we provide delicious snacks.
The East Kootenay is famous for summer sun but we plan for the possibility of rain. So along with your sun block, we ask that you bring 2 layers of clothing, wind breaker / rain gear, sturdy hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, camera, and of course, your adventurous spirit. If you don't have a valid B.C. angling licence, we can prearrange the purchase.
Rates: 1-3 people $417 per person
4+ people $347 per person
If you wish to extent this tour add $248 per person for each additional day and night.
At time of booking we require 50% deposit, the remaining balance at departure. All rates are based on Canadian funds.
Due to the nature of these activities and the inherent risk involved with being in the natural environment we require a waiver of liability prior to departure.
